vanilla bean oatmeal



This recipe is a cinch to make!  It takes 5 minutes to prep and 5 minutes to cook!  How’s that for an easy delicious morning?!  I was looking for something to make besides my usual Eggs & Toast breakfast that usually makes me feel hungry an hour later.  I was looking for something to not only fill me up but to give me some health benefits as well.  So I came up with this flavorful, antioxidant boosting oatmeal that will satisfy all your hungry morning tummies.  The vanilla bean gives it this beautiful vanilla flavor, the blueberries give it sweetness, the hemp seeds give it texture and fiber, the almond butter gives it creaminess and the walnuts give it that extra crunch and omega 3 fatty acids that are so important in our daily eating habits.  Give this recipe a try I’m sure it will become a morning favorite in your house!




Vanilla Bean Oatmeal

Servings: 1
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste you can use vanilla extract as a substitute
  • 1/4 cup sliced blueberries
  • 2 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp toasted unsalted walnuts
  1. In a small sauce pan bring water to a boil

  2. Pour in the oats and stir consistently for  about 5 minutes until it is think, creamy and shows little pops of bubbles coming to the surface.  Once finished, turn off the heat and add the salt, brown sugar and vanilla bean paste.  Stir to combine.

  3. Dish up in a serving bowl and top with the blueberries, hemp seeds, almond butter & walnuts.  Enjoy!
